When aunt H was baptized our church met in a public school. We had not yet built the chapel which became the stake center. As such we had no baptismal font. The closest one was in the Church chapel at Palmyra. So Aunt H was baptized in Palymra, not far from the home of Joseph Smith and the sacred grove. On the way home we stopped for ice cream which then became a family tradition for other family members baptisms. [Aunt H was the oldest child in the family]

Our Purpose
As we began to help our oldest son prepare for baptism, we decided we wanted to share with him baptism stories from the scriptures and from our family history. As we began collecting them, we realized that these stories should be preserved and shared.
In order to protect the privacy of those involved, we sometimes use initials instead of names, and give only the year and rough location of the story.
